3 Lattes to Make for the Holidays!

3 Lattes to Make for the Holidays!

‘Tis the season of holiday drinks, warm mugs and overpriced coffee shop drinks. In case you don’t want to overindulge this year,  would rather get more buck from your coin or just enjoy trying new recipes- we got you covered! Here’s some recipes for our take on your holiday favorites.

We’re starting out strong with a divisive one, the infamous Eggnog Latte. Personally I’m an Eggnog latte stan so you know I had to find a way to fairy-fy it.

Christmas Fairy Eggnog Latte

First, you’re going to need some eggnog. Making it can take forever, so if you’re a lazy fairy store-bought is just fine. If you’re unsure on which to get, Here’s a list of the best store-bought, budget friendly ones according to Food Network https://www.foodnetwork.com/fn-dish/shopping/best-store-bought-eggnog

Then brew a strong cup of our Lavender Earl Grey or Vanilla Chai. Our Earl Grey has caffeine, but if you want more (or would rather have a caffeinated vanilla chai, we suggest you make it “dirty” by adding in an espresso shot or strongly brewed coffee)

To make the eggnog latte, combine the hot tea with the eggnog and some nutmeg in a blender and blend until frothy (if you don’t have a blender you can mix the coffee and eggnog in a sealed mason jar by shaking it vigorously!). Then, pour the mixture into a festive mug and garnish it with cinnamon, nutmeg, a cinnamon stick or whatever strikes your fancy!

GingerBread Latte

This is a big crowd pleaser! So we scoured the internet for recipes to recreate it. Of course, for GingerBread Latte you would be needing gingerbread syrup, you can find those on grocery stores although it might save you some time to just get it online. The Torani one is cheap and good :)

However, if you want to go all Martha Stewart and make yours from scratch here’s how-to:

  • ¼ lightly packed brown sugar
  • ½ of granulated sugar
  • ¾ of water
  • 1 Tbsp of ground ginger
  • ½ a teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Now for the actual GingerBread Latte:

You’re gonna need 3 Tbsp of the homemade (or store-bought) syrup

Strongly brewed vanilla chai tea, add in an espresso shot if you would like to be caffeinated

¾ cup of any kind of milk

Fresh grated nutmeg

You can also add in whip cream if you’re feeling fancy

Peppermint Mocha

First, you're gonna need a strong cup of our Peppermint Mocha Tea or our Mint Chip Tea

Then dissolve 1 TBSP of Nutella or a piece of dark chocolate in ½ cup of any kind of milk. Mix together, add your preferred sweetener and sprinkle some cocoa powder on top. If you want to be extra fancy, add in a peppermint stick to stir with!

We hope you’re as excited for our Holiday drinks as we are! If you try them please tag us on socials, we would love to see! @ultraviolet on ig and @ultravioletea on TikTok:)
